Meeting with Shri Arun Mathur, IAS, CEO, Delhi Jal Board

Agenda of the Meeting

1. Progress review of construction of under ground reservoir adjacent to A5B-A5C Block, Janak Puri.

2. Progress review of construction of sum well pumping station in B-Block, Janak Puri.

CEO is requested to monitor booth the above projects personally on monthly basis so that these projects can be accomplished in time bound period.

3. a) The acute drinking water shortage in Janak Puri and Uttam Nagar group of Colonies. The quantity of water received by Janak Puri is the same as it was 20 years back. But now the population has increased manifolds hence more quantity of water is needed for Janak Puri.

b) Increase of Water level at B-2 Block, Under Ground Booster Pumping Station Janak Puri
Minimum Level Required - 3.80 m.

Maximum Level Available - 3.00 m.

c) 2 additional Water Connection (10") for A - Block, Janak Puri (Specially for A-1 Block Kothies & Flats) and 1 connection for Chanakya Place, Jeewan Park and Indira Park from South Delhi Main for proper Water Supply. (Water hardly available for 10-15 minutes at very low pressure).

4. Problem of sewer over flow in A2 and C2 Block (replacement of un settled sewer line) Janak Puri.

5. Laying of sewer lines in left out portion of Uttam Nagar Group of Colonies namely Ramdutt Enclave, East Uttam Nagar, Indira Park, Milap Nagar, Dayal Sar Road, Prem Nagar and South Extn.

6. Shortage of drinking water and problem of contaminated water in C-Block, E-Block and F-Block Jeewan Park, C, D & E Block Chanakya Place, A&D Block East Uttam Nagar, G-Block Uttam Nagar.

7. Cleaning of under ground water tank of A1A Block.

8. Cleaning of sewer line Dist. Centre to Club Road Janak Puri.

9. Restoration of musteroll for cleaning of residential sewer lines before Monsoon.

10. Replacement of under sized water pipeline in A4C, A1B, C2 and C3 Block MIG Flats of Janak Puri.

11. Sewer surcharge / over flow problem in C2D, C2C Pkt-2, C2A Pkt-15 & 16 and C2B Block in Janak Puri due to the pardi at C2B Crossing (600 dia metre sewer line)

12. C2B Jal Board Office (ZRO) may be instructed to collect Sewer Development Charges also.

13. Extension of date of Deposit of Sewer Development Charges (with rebate) in Uttam Nagar Group of Colonies upto 30th September, 2006.

The following issues were discussed :

1. Progress of review of construction of underground reservoir adjacent to A5B-A5C Block, Janak Puri SE(W)C-I informed that the case is under process and the tree-cutting permission has been taken. He further informed that allocation of Rs. 1 lac has been done by the Finance Department.

2. Progress of review of construction of sump well pumping station n B-Block, Janakpuri CE(II) informed that for the land requirement a letter has already been written to the Cm. (Land), DDA. EE(C) Dr-II was directed to issue a reminder and pursue.

3. Two additional water Connection (10") for A-Block Janak Puri and one for Chanakya Place. It was informed that as per the Department policy no direct connection from the Rising Main can be given. However, the water supply will increase in the area after the commissioning of Sonia Vihar Water Treatment Plant on displacement of water.

4. Problem of sewer over flow in A2 and C2 Block (replacement of un settled sewer line) Janakpur. It was informed that the sewer work at C-2 block has been completed. For A-2 block tenders have been received.

5. Laying of sewer lines in left out portion of Uttam Nagar Group of Colonies namely Ramdut Enclave, East Uttam Nagar, Indira Park, Milap Nagar, Dayal Sar Road, Prem Nagar and South Extn. EE(West)III informed that the framing of estimate is in process.

6. Cleaning of underground water tank of A1A Block CE(C) V assured that the repair work of U.G.R. will be taken up on priority.

7. Cleaning of sewer line Dist. Centre to club Road Janak Puri EE(W) III informed that the tenders have been received. Further action is being taken.

8. Restoration of Muster-roll for cleaning of residential sewer lines before monsoon SE (W) informed that the cleaning of internal Sewer lines is being done by the departmental labour and that the practice of engaging muster-roll workers for cleaning of sewer is not being followed in DJB, now.

9. C2B Jal Board Office (ZRO) may be instructed to collect sewer development charges also

The Councillor complained that the ZRO Janakpuri office is not accepting the Sewer Development Charges payment of Paschim Vihar area. The EE informed that he has already the ZRO to collect/accept the sewer development charges.

10. Extension of date of deposit of sewer development charges (with rebate) in Uttam Nagar Group of colonies upto 30th September, 2006 It was informed that the rebate on sewer development charges was up to 31.03.06. The matter would be examined for further extension of rebate period.

11. Providing JCM for his area. It was informed that 12 Jetting-cum-suction machine would be hired shortly, out of which one would be provided to his constituency area. Also, the routine cleaning work is being done.

12. Additional Cash Counter at Uttam Nagar is not accepting Cash. It was informed that the Post Office have been authorized to accept cash payment on behalf of DJB.
