It was really heartening to know that the Privatization Of Distribution of electricity has been done in the recent past and one of the main companies undertaking this work is BSES – Rajdhani Power.

It is a matter of pride to state that BSES is a reputed name in the field of Electricity Supply and it has already proved its credentials in Mumbai by giving fault less service to its vast number of people. I wish and hope that on the similar lines, BSES will make a mark in Delhi also and will change the sagging image of erstwhile DVB by providing un interrupted and fault less electricity supply to the people of Delhi also.

In this regard, I wish to give some suggestions, which will further enhance the image of BSES, which are as follows :-

01)   I fully appreciate the reform work of up gradation of Transformers, Installation of New panels, establishment of New sub Stations etc. But these works are not visible to the Public. What is needed at this hour is that Public should be well aware of the reforms work under taken by you such as maintenance and repair of street lights, faulty overhead cables etc. Since BSES has promised in its manifesto that these works will immediately be taken up which were delayed by erstwhile DVB on one excuse or the other, I suggest that to start with Ward-17, the faulty street lights should be changed immediately so that people of this ward can see for themselves the work done by BSES.

02)  Since I am the Chairman of MCD West Zone Consisting of 16 wards, I suggest that a list of reform works initiated by BSES in this zone should be forwarded to my secretariat so that I can make sure that the MCD members can publicize these works among the common people in their respective wards and there can be a greater degree of synergy between MCD West Zone and BSES.

03)  I wish to offer you to organize a LOAD ENHANCEMENT CAMP AND NEW CONNECTION in my ward-17 for the benefit of the people where they can come and after depositing the money on the spot, can get their electricity load enhanced. This will save them the trouble of standing in long lines in inclement weather.

04)  BSES has disconnected the electricity connections of some of the  Pumping Houses and Tubewell Connections in Parks in Janak Puri due to non payment of electricity bills by MCD West Zone or DJB. It is accepted that there should be a timely deposit of bills but I would like to suggest you that in the matters associated directly with common people, the department such as yours will have to be liberal so that the people do not suffer in the dispute between Government Agencies. Since the main objective of Government Agencies and BSES is the welfare of the people, such steps give a different picture. Therefore at least in my ward-17 and 18, copy of any future disconnection notice of tubewell connection or pumping house should be forwarded to my secretariat also so that I can ensure the timely payment of electricity bills in association with DJB or other Govt. Agencies.

A line in confirmation to above will be highly appreciated.
