Leaders in the making

Even Sanjay Puri, who may be only president of the All-India National Students Union of India (Indira), is busy these days as his party has set up quite a few candidates in Uttar Pradesh for Assembly elections.

Puri, in his hectic election schedule, recently went to Agra, Mathura and Aligarh to canvas for his party candidates. He managed to take along the star campaigner of the Samajwadi Party, Raj Babbar, to Basti and Gorakhpur to canvas for his party as it is part of the United Front.

Next, he is leaving for the hills - Dehra Dun, Mussoorie and Almora to be precise - in the company of the former cricketer, Manoj Prabhakar, with whom he has an excellent rapport. After this he will be in Bombay where the NSUI candidate is contesting a bye-election.

Not for nothing do they say that today's students are the leaders of tomorrow.
