Details of Activities and Achievements of Shri Sanjay Puri as Municipal Councillor from Ward - 17 i.e. Janak Puri,
for the period 2002-03

INTERACTON WITH HON’BLE LT. GOVERNOR OF DELHI

A. There are a number of vacant DDA plots / lands in my ward 17 which have become the dumping ground for garbage / malba which causes havoc during the rainy season. I met the Hon’ble Lt. Governor of Delhi and got instructions issued to Vice-Chairman DDA to get the boundary walls erected around these plots and the garbage / malba is being lifed from these sites.

B. On my recommendations the Hon’ble Lt. Governor of Delhi issued instructions to the Jt. Commissioner of Police (Traffic) to install traffic light signals at various accidental prone points in my ward 17 i.e. Janak Puri.

C. I also submitted proposals to the Hon’ble Lt. Governor of Delhi to get three subways and two flyovers constructed in the highly congested traffic zone of my ward 17 i.e. Janak Puri. The Hon’ble Lt. Governor in turn forwarded the same to commissioner MCD for favourable consideration. After my lot of persuation and after survey reports were prepared for the same, the MCD principally agreed on these proposals.
