EFFORTS FOR MAKING DISABLED FRIENDLY ENVIRONMENT

Being the elected political representative, it is my moral as well as social responsiblity to look after the benefit of people in general and Physically Challanged People in particular. To bring these Physically Challanged People into the main stream of the society, I forwarded a suggestion note to the Hon’ble Minister of Transport, Tourism and Power in which I had stated that what actions should be initiated by the government so that these physically challanged people can associate themselves with the society and should not feel neglected. In this meeting, the MD of DTTDC alongwith officials of Department of Tourism were also present and various modalities of making the buildings falling under this ministry as DISABLED FRIENDLY were discussed. Also I have sent similar suggestion notes to various government departments who in turn send me the ATR from time to time in which it is mentioned that what steps are being taken by their departments to make them DISABLED FRIENDLY.
